It is very important that we receive all grades by the deadline to minimize impact to students. Late and missing grades impact the jobs that run to calculate academic status, move students from a pre-major to the upper-division major, verify registration contingencies, and auto-graduate students. Please note that though the processes to place students on academic probation or disqualification have been suspended for spring 2020, having complete and accurate student term information remains vital to many other processes.

Credit/No Credit Grade Option
Many students have exercised the option to change their grading basis from Letter grade to Credit/No Credit. Student grading basis is displayed in WebGrades and faculty will only be able to assign a grade that is valid for the student's chosen gading basis (i.e. a grade of Credit cannot be awarded for a student who has chosen Letter grade, and a letter grade cannot be awarded for a student who has chosen Cr/NC).

For undergraduate students, a grade of Credit is awarded for work equivalent to a course letter grade of C (2.0) or better. It is used when, in the opinion of the instructor, the number of completed assignments or course activities or both were insufficient to make possible a normal evaluation of academic performance. For purposes of grade point average computation, this symbol is equivalent to an F. If the student attended a portion of a course and then, after receiving failing grades, stopped attending without officially withdrawing, a final grade of F not WU should be assigned. WU grades can only be assigned to students who have selected Letter Grade as their grading basis; a grade of NC (No Credit) should be used for students who have selected Credit/No Credit.

- I (Incomplete): The symbol I indicates that a portion of required coursework has not been completed and evaluated in the prescribed time period due to unforeseen, but fully justified, reasons and that there is still a possibility of earning credit.
