<div dir="ltr">Hi Everyone,<div><br></div><div>For the 2/1/17 Executive Committee Minutes, Item 1.1, Development Update, has been amended to:</div><div><br></div><div><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-size:12.8px"><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255)">"Kim DuFour also informed the Committee that the CoE has <span style="background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">almost</span> $100K of scholarship <span style="background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">funding</span> that <span style="background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">has</span> not <span style="background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">been</span> awarded <span style="background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">yet this year</span>. Other Colleges have also had the same issue and the President wants these funds to be used. Kim Dufour and Theresa Garcia met with Colleen Conniff at the Financial <span style="background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">Aid</span> & Scholarship<span style="background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">s</span> Office to discuss the issue. It was found that some of the scholarships had no <span style="background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">eligible</span> applicants <span style="background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">even though</span> the Scholarship Office had <span style="background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">advertised</span> the scholarships public<span style="background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">ly</span>. The Department Chairs need to help publicize the scholarships. The Chancellor’s Office has mandated that Scholarship Committees have at least (3) members. It was noted that CoE is in compliance with this mandate.
