<p class="MsoNormal">The American Society for Engineering Education Pacific Southwest (ASEE PSW) Section invites abstracts (full paper, work-in-progress or WIP, workshop, and poster) for the 2017 Annual Conference and Exposition. The conference is hosted by
Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona <b>on April 20-22, 2017</b> with the theme of
<b>“Teaching and motivating millennial engineering students”</b>.<u></u><u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> <u></u><u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Please consider submitting on topics relevant to engineering education including, but not limited to, laboratories and projects, courses and curricula, experiential and global learning in engineering, pedagogy and assessment, and reports
on student research and design. Online teaching, active learning and industry partnerships are of particular interest. Instructions and templates for abstract and full paper submission can be found on the conference website:
<a href="http://2017asee-psw.org/" target="_blank">http://2017asee-psw.org</a>. Authors can make two types of submission: full paper and abstract for poster/workshop/work-in-<wbr>progress.
<b>The deadline for abstract submission is December 1, 2016</b>.<u></u><u></u></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Full Papers: (Submitted through ASEE Monolith)</b><u></u><u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Submission for a full paper is a three-step review process consisting of an abstract review followed by, if favorable, a draft paper review, and then a full manuscript review. Abstracts will each receive one blind review; papers will be
blind reviewed by a minimum three reviewers. Acceptance of both the abstract and the final full manuscript is required for presentation in conference sessions and for inclusion in the conference proceedings (publish to present). Abstracts shall be 250-500
words in length. Authors are encouraged to consult the Author’s Kit before submitting (<a href="http://www.2017asee-psw.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/PSW_Authors_Kit.pdf" target="_blank">http://www.2017asee-psw.org/<wbr>wp-content/uploads/2016/10/<wbr>PSW_Authors_Kit.pdf</a>).

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Poster, Workshop, and Work-in-Progress (WIP):</b><u></u><u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Authors can submit a 250-500 word abstract in electronic form (.doc, .docx or .pdf) using the template provided on
<a href="http://www.2017asee-psw.org/submissions" target="_blank">http://www.2017asee-psw.org/<wbr>submissions</a>. Abstracts should clearly indicate whether it is for a poster, work-in-progress, or workshop. An accepted work-in-progress will be assigned to a poster session and
will require an extended abstract (3 page limit) in place of a full paper.<u></u><u></u></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The file name for poster/workshop/WIP abstract must use the following convention:

<p class="MsoNormal">1. For poster: LastNameFirstInitial_Paper (e.g., SmithJ_poster).<u></u><u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">2. For work-in-progress: LastNameFirstInitial_Poster (e.g., SmithJ_wip).<u></u><u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">3. For workshop: LastNameFirstInitial_Poster (e.g., SmithJ_workshop).<u></u><u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">If submitting more than one abstract, number the file name as follows: SmithJ_poster1, SmithJ_poster2, etc.<u></u><u></u></p>
