again ARCS Scholarships (Achievement Rewards for College Scientists) are
available for our master's and doctoral level students in the Sciences and
Engineering. As you may be aware, the ARCS Scholarship requires a nomination by
the student's faculty research mentor and an application by the student you are
nominating. ARCS scholarships awards are highly selective and based
upon the excellence and achievements of the student applicants. <u></u><u></u></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Arial">If
you are nominating more than one student, an acknowledgement of the fact you
are nominating more than one student along with a relative ranking of the
students you are nominating is also required. I encourage you to promote
this opportunity for your masters and doctoral level students. <u></u><u></u></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Arial"><b>This
year we will be funded for 15 positions and with 4 returning students we will have an all time high of 11 openings for ARCS scholarships! </b>As you may know, the scholarship awards are for $7,500.00 each. Each selected
scholar can be supported for up to 3 years pending continued outstanding progress toward their degree. A 4th year of funding can be considered in many cases. Initial selection as an ARCS
scholar is very competitive. </span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Arial">Any
