Dear Marcie,
Just a short note to let you know that not all of us find the new
University Website, with its animated photos, an improvement over the
earlier version. The University web site makes it hard to find
information that a visitor might be looking for. First, the "search"
button itself has to be found; then one must guess how the needed
information might be titled or classified. There is no pull-down menu
to select from, nor a high-level directory or web site guidemap.
With all due respect and humility, I would like to suggest that
there are other, more respectable, web sites at other universities that
might serve as a better model for us to emulate for our College of
Engineering web site. I fail to see the advantage of "looking similar"
to the university web site which is shallow, frivolous, unhelpful, and
conveys a misleading message about SDSU. I think we can do better.
