We are not able to provide support for personal laptops, tablets, and computers. Recently, our computer support personnel, including Chris Paolini and Meti Belay, are reporting that they are receiving requests from faculty and graduate students to work on Personal Computers for hardware and virus issues and software installation issues. Due to this policy, and the already heavy workloads for our technicians, I have advised our technicians to respectfully decline requests for support of personal computers. They feel they are placed in an awkward position when these types of requests are made, and it is requested you not ask the technicians for support of your personal computers, laptops or tablets. Please advise your graduate students of this policy and ask that they also not request support for personal computers, laptops or tablets. Thank you for your cooperation.

Darrell

Darrell Irwin

Director, Resource Management

College of Engineering

Ext: 48290

--
