provost for several years.<span> </span>It is
strange<span> </span>how the University, my Dept<span> etc. </span>have my correct email ID without my informing them except the college? </font></font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 10pt"><font size="3"><font face="Calibri">It is not clear when the email bounces back, why no action was taken especially that I am one of the very few who interacts with the college on academic matters after my retirement. </font></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 10pt"><font size="3"><font face="Calibri">The
only reason that I got involved in this issue is due to the unfortunate
untimely passing away of Ron Hunter.</font></font></p><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">

After it came to my attention, yesterday, that you were not subscribed<br>
to the faculty mailing list, I investigated a bit to determine why.<br>
Here are some facts I have uncovered since yesterday:<br>

1) Back in 2002, your official university email address was<br>
"<a href="mailto:krish@mail.sdsu.edu" target="_blank">krish@mail.sdsu.edu</a>". "EXHIBIT A" below is an email I saved, dated<br>
Oct 28, 2002, about a problem you had finding the start button on the<br>
control key pad in the E-423B smart classroom. Your From: address in<br>
the message header is shown to be "<a href="mailto:krish@mail.sdsu.edu" target="_blank">krish@mail.sdsu.edu</a>".<br>
<br>
2) On Aug 27, 2003, I confirmed with Diane David that emeritus faculty<br>
were subscribed to the faculty mailing list. "EXHIBIT B" below is an<br>
email I sent to Diane David in which I confirmed that<br>
"<a href="mailto:krish@mail.sdsu.edu" target="_blank">krish@mail.sdsu.edu</a>" was a current member of the faculty mailing<br>
list.<br>
<br>
3) In Jan 2004, your official university email address had become<br>
"<a href="mailto:gkrishna@mail.sdsu.edu" target="_blank">gkrishna@mail.sdsu.edu</a>". "EXHIBIT C" below is an email I saved,<br>
dated Sep 06, 2005, concerning a work order you submitted to the help<br>
desk to repair a computer problem. Your From: address in the message<br>
header is shown to be "<a href="mailto:gkrishna@mail.sdsu.edu" target="_blank">gkrishna@mail.sdsu.edu</a>".<br>
<br>
4) IMPORTANT: I had re-subscribed you to the faculty mailing list<br>
under the email address of <a href="mailto:gkrishna@mail.sdsu.edu" target="_blank">gkrishna@mail.sdsu.edu</a>, and you had been<br>
receiving faculty addressed communication under this address. "EXHIBIT<br>
D" below is a transcript from a mail transfer log I saved on 30 Nov<br>
2009 that shows the transaction of an email sent to the faculty list.<br>
If you<br>
inspect the list of recipient addresses, you will find the recipient<br>
address "<a href="mailto:gkrishna@mail.sdsu.edu" target="_blank">gkrishna@mail.sdsu.edu</a>", thereby proving you were subscribed<br>
to the faculty list at that time.<br>
<br>
5) I re-subscribed you to the faculty mailing list under the email<br>
address of <a href="mailto:gkrishna@mail.sdsu.edu" target="_blank">gkrishna@mail.sdsu.edu</a> because I was requested to do so by<br>
Diane David, on Feb. 2, 2004, who informed me of your email address<br>
change as shown in "EXHIBIT E" below.<br>
<br>
6) Yesterday I was informed by the college administrative staff that<br>
your email address had again been changed, this time to<br>
"<a href="mailto:gikay@mail.sdsu.edu" target="_blank">gikay@mail.sdsu.edu</a>". Today I called the University Enterprise<br>
Technology Helpdesk to find out when you had been assigned this third<br>
email address. The ETS Helpdesk informed me that you had requested a<br>
new email address on Nov 12, 2011 and claimed the address on Nov. 17,<br>
2011.<br>
<br>
7) On or around, or anytime after Nov. 17, 2011, never did you send me<br>
an email, or communicate to me, about your third address change and<br>
request that I update the faculty mailing list to reflect your third<br>
and latest email address of "<a href="mailto:gikay@mail.sdsu.edu" target="_blank">gikay@mail.sdsu.edu</a>".<br>
<br>
8) On or around, or anytime after Nov. 17, 2011, never did a member of<br>
the Dean's office administrative staff, or the Department of Civil,<br>
Construction and Environmental Engineering office administrative staff<br>
send me an email, or communicate to me, about your address change and<br>
request that I update the faculty mailing list to reflect your third<br>
and latest email address, as was done on Feb. 2, 2004 and shown in "EXHIBIT E".<br>
<br>
You have used at least three different email addresses for official<br>
university communication, the first two of which were indeed<br>
subscribed to the faculty mailing list. You didn't inform me when you<br>
acquired your third email address, or inform another administrative<br>
staff member who could then inform me, and so I did not have a fair<br>
opportunity to update the faculty mailing list to include your latest,<br>
third email address.<br>
