If you are interested in participating in the course design institute in the Fall 2024 , please let me know to be nominated.  I need to respond and submit names for this program before May 2.  Please see relevant information below and in the attached document.

Instructional Technology Services (ITS) is pleased to once again offer our Course Design Institute (CDI)<https://its.sdsu.edu/innovation/course-design-institute> during the Spring 2024 semester. As in the past, we are seeking recommendations for courses that would be good candidates for faculty to develop while given one course release during the Spring 2024 semester. Funding for course release for participants will be provided by Academic Affairs.


The CDI provides training in pedagogy and technology to help faculty develop state-of-the-art, engaging online courses that feature opportunities for active learning by students. The program offers intensive support for about 15 faculty through weekly meetings, one-on-one coaching, and a variety of workshops. Participants are expected to submit deliverables along the way that demonstrate course development milestones compatible with the CSU Quality Teaching & Learning (QLT) rubric.



We invite you to nominate courses and instructors for inclusion in the Spring 2024 CDI via a “Reply All” to this email by Tuesday, May 2. We are particularly interested in targeting high-demand courses that, if offered online, would facilitate timely graduation for our students.
