Dear Colleagues,
As many of you are aware, the SDSU College of Engineering has been involved
in on-going efforts to improve equity and inclusion for faculty, staff and
students, guided by our diversity and inclusion plan. To help our Diversity
Council better understand the experiences of faculty and staff across the C
ollege, we invite you to take a SHORT survey
<https://sdsu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3V3sKnGGyDLroW2>; it should not
take more than a few minutes of your time to complete.
This is a follow-up to the survey conducted in Fall 2019 and the campus
hopes to collect this data every few years, allowing us to observe changes
over time. Your input will inform campus initiatives and help us evaluate
progress with our own diversity and inclusion plan. Your participation is
vitally important to ensure that our College is able to get a full picture
of faculty and staff experiences.
This is an important opportunity for you to have your voice heard. Please
note that although you will be asked for some demographic information, the
Office of Faculty and Staff Diversity will be aggregating the results
before providing it back to colleges and divisions, and all information
will be provided in a way that maintains confidentiality of individual
responses.
The survey will close November 1, and should take fewer than ten minutes to
complete. Please contact facultydiversity at sdsu.edu or the College Diversity
Council Chair, Dr. Mahasweta Sarkar, if you have any questions or concerns.
