It is interesting that we receive this kind of emails when a relative of someone whom we don’t know and never heard of passes away but when a faculty member’s father passes away, the Dean’s office doesn’t do anything. A few weeks ago Dr. Peiman Naseradinmousavi’s father unexpectedly passed away and no condolence card was left in the Dean’s office for the other faculty to sign, despite the fact that he announced his father’s passing on LinkedIn.  

This speaks volume of how much the Dean’s office values its faculty. Disappointing!
