*GREW for Postdocs*

The *Grants Research and Enterprise Writing (GREW) for Postdocs
Workshop* teaches
postdocs how to identify funding opportunities, develop successful
proposals, develop collaborations, and communicate effectively. This is a
pilot workshop adapted from the original GREW program, which targets early
career faculty. The GREW Workshop reviews key elements for developing a
successful research focused career, including sections on:

   -

How to identify, review and evaluate funding opportunities
   -

How to write effective funding requests
   -

How to communicate and pitch yourself and your scholarship to a variety
   of audiences
   -

How to build relationships with collaborators and influential program
   officers
   -

How to work with the media and nonacademic audiences

*Time commitment*: Participants must commit to attending all four weekly
sessions on September 9, 16, 23, 30 (Fridays). Sessions will be held
in-person from 12:00 – 3:00 pm, lunch will be provided.

Space is limited for this workshop session, *priority will be given to
postdoc participants for this session*. If interest exceeds our space
limit, we will offer the workshop again in the Spring semester.
