*AGC San Diego Makes $700,000 Gift to Support AGC Chair in Construction
Management*


On behalf of the College of Engineering, we’re pleased to announce that
Associated General Contractors of San Diego (AGC) has made a $700,000 gift
to support the AGC Chair in Construction Management for the J.R. Filanc
Construction Engineering and Management Program.  The $700,000 gift is part
of the $2.5 million AGC Chair Campaign.


AGC San Diego has long been a champion of SDSU and the J.R. Filanc
Construction Engineering and Management Program. The AGC SDSU Student
Chapter has provided hands-on experiences, leadership opportunities, and
important connections to the industry for decades.  Many students credit
the AGC experience with helping them develop a skill-set that they use for
a lifetime, and for helping them secure their first engineering position
after graduation. A majority of the students in the J.R. Filanc
Construction Engineering and Management Program participate in the Reno
competitions that AGC supports. SDSU students consistently place high in
this competition.


A special thanks to AGC Chair Campaign co-chairs, Jim Ryan and Eddie
Sprecco, for their leadership in making this gift happen.



The College of Engineering is grateful for all those who provide much
