Dear Faculty and Staff,

Based on the recent message of the SDSU President, effective immediately,
all SDSU College of Engineering employees over the age of 65, as well as
employees with a chronic disease must stay off SDSU campus and continue
advancing the operations and mission of the College via telecommute working
arrangement. If telework is not an option for employees so categorized,
they are to be put on administrative leave with pay at their current rate
and for their normal scheduled work hours until further notice.

In this connection, all SDSU College of Engineering employees over the age
of 65, as well as employees with a chronic disease should contact their
supervisor immediately to discuss telework options. If your job duties can
be performed remotely, your manager will work with you on a telework
assignment and will provide the necessary details and logistical support.
Those details may include arrangements to receive any necessary equipment
to facilitate the successful move to telework.

All faculty and staff should inform College IT Lead William Nguyen at
wnguyen at sdsu.edu and sign the off-campus inventory list, if they would like
to check out their computer equipment to take off campus.

I would like to update you also on the following:

   1.

The face-to-face services of the Center for Student Success in
Engineering (CSSE) are suspended effective immediately and until further
notice. The CSSE is currently working on alternate virtual modes for their
services and will notify students directly through Blackboard.
   2.

Classrooms in the College of Engineering Main Building will be subjected
to deep cleaning and closed to access by faculty and students starting from
tomorrow, March 17, 2020 until further notice.
   3.

The Open Computer Labs in the College of Engineering will be closed
today, Monday, March 16, 2020, for deep cleaning and will reopen tomorrow,
Tuesday, March 17, 2020, and will remain open for student access up to the
level of lab capacities enabling appropriate social distancing of 6 feet.
   4.

At this time, research labs remain open. Researchers should exercise
appropriate social distancing (i.e., to be separated by 6 feet).

Best regards,

Eugene
