Please be advised that Planning, Design & Construction will be continuing a facility project that may impact your area. Below are the details of the scope of work and anticipated impacts:

Scope of Work:  A crane will be used to lift new premanufactured boiler plant and heat recovery chiller from the north Engineering parking lot to the roof of the Engineering Building.

Reason for Project: The Heating Hot Water Project will replace campus steam heat infrastructure with local hot water boiler plants.

Description:  Both lanes of travel on Aztec Circle between Engineering, Engineering & Interdisciplinary Sciences, and Geology Mathematics Computer Sciences Buildings will be closed. Traffic control signage and flaggers will be on site to direct traffic to alternate routes (listed below) during the closure.

Specific Areas Affected:

Buildings:
* The Engineering Building will be closed during the crane operation on Wednesday, July 22 from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. College of Engineering building occupants will receive a notice when it is safe to enter the building.

Parking:
* The north Engineering Special Permit parking lot will be closed from Monday, July 20 at 6:00 AM to Wednesday, July 22 at 5:00 PM.
* The Geology Mathematics Computer Sciences Special Permit parking lot will be closed from Tuesday, July 21 at 6:00 AM to Wednesday, July 22 at 5:00 PM.
* The BioScience Center loading dock will remain open.
* The parking areas around East Commons will remain open.

Traffic:

For vehicular access to the following facilities, please use the Aztec Circle Drive entrance off of College Avenue at the Student Union:
* Administration
* Atkinson Hall
* Chemical Sciences Laboratory
* Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union
* East Commons
* Education & Business Administration
* Geology Mathematics Computer Sciences
* Student Services East

For all other facilities, please use the Aztec Circle Drive entrance off of Canyon Crest Drive near Parking Structure 12.

End Date: Wednesday, July 22, 2020
Work Hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
