ABSTRACT:
Biology has become the big data science - the number of cells in our body
exceeds the number of stars by several orders of magnitude - and we are
beginning to unravel the functions and roles that many of these cells
perform through the application of novel computational techniques.
Different machine learning techniques are used depending on the data,
application, and question. Through the use of several different examples, I
will discuss computational approaches to analyzing biological data.
