Currently, we don’t have any instruments for case of power outrage.

Please let me know asap, if there are any instruments or labs that require reliable uptime, in case of power outage in the Engineering Building and EIS Building?

San Diego State University is aware of the possibility that San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) may shut off power in certain communities within San Diego County. At this time, SDSU and SDSU Imperial Valley are not expected to be impacted by these outages, but we do realize that members of the campus community may be affected.
On Tuesday night, SDG&E notified nearly 30,000 customers who live in high fire risk areas within San Diego County that they may be impacted by a power shut off. For more information on the possible San Diego County outages and emergency preparedness please visit: <http://comm.sdsu.edu/c0100sQB0pzM05wPM0mYo00> https://www.sdge.com/wildfire-safety/public-safety-power-shutoffs.
In the event any of our students, faculty and staff become personally impacted by a shut off limiting their ability to come to campus for classes or work, they are encouraged to reach out to their instructors and supervisors to discuss appropriate accommodations.
Again, at this time SDSU is not expected to be impacted by these shut offs. University officials continue to closely monitor the situation, and will continue to share relevant information with the SDSU community.
Also, as a reminder, we ask members of our campus community who have not done so to sign up for SDSU Alert, our notification system that can send text and e-mail messages in the event of a campus-wide emergency or other concern. Up to date information will be provided to the community via SDSU Urgent, <http://comm.sdsu.edu/ez0mZP00000MBo0s15NpQ0w> https://urgent.sdsu.edu/, which is one of the university’s primary communications channels during emergencies.
