*Alex Mora, 2004 ME graduate makes $50,000 pledge for scholarship*
On behalf of the College of Engineering, we are pleased to announce that
Alex Mora, a 2004 ME graduate has made a $50,000 pledge to establish an
endowed scholarship for engineering students who participate in the MESA
program with a preference for Mechanical Engineering majors.
Alex Mora is the CEO of Formula Plastics in Tecate. He’s grateful for his
SDSU education and MESA experience. Alex is 38 years old and we believe he
is the youngest SDSU alumnus to establish an endowed scholarship at this
level.
We are particularly pleased with this gift as Alex has agreed to help the
College of Engineering message out to potential donors the importance of
supporting SDSU and the need for endowed scholarships and faculty support
positions such as chairs and professorships.
If you happen to see Alex at an industry event, university happening or in
the community, please feel free to thank him for his generous support.
If you or anyone you know might have interest in supporting the College of
Engineering with a philanthropic gift, please contact Kate Carinder, Senior
Director of Development, College of Engineering: kcarinder at sdsu.edu.
