[Faculty] The Investiture Ceremony

Dear Colleagues,

The investiture ceremony of our ninth university president, Dr. Adela de la
Torre, will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Viejas
Arena. This is a historic event for our university and faculty are invited
to participate in the investiture processional.

If you haven’t already provided an RSVP, please do so at
www.sdsu.edu/processional by February 15, 2019, if you plan to participate.
Processional members are asked to arrive by 1 p.m.

Academic regalia are required and will be provided complimentary on a
first-come, first-served basis. Visit www.sdsu.edu/processional for
additional information, including details on reserving regalia. You may
also keep your regalia to wear at Commencement 2019.

Additionally, per the email from Interim Provost Johnson and Dr. Marcie
Bober-Michel, in order to allow our students the opportunity to attend,
faculty are encouraged to implement an informal non-instructional day from
noon to 6 p.m., with evening classes resuming as usual.
