ABSTRACT:
In this talk we shall discuss some of the approaches that we have
implemented at Los Alamos National Laboratory to solve problems of
industrial interest using theory, modeling and simulation. These approaches
include fundamental science from many fields of science, including fluid
dynamics, the theory of polymer dynamics, statistical mechanics, quantum
mechanics, molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo method. We will illustrate
these applications with specific examples to products such as fabric
enhancers, shampoo and candies.
