We have sent several advance notices to-date about the upcoming interruptions and will send another later this week.
Thank-you for sending this out to the CoS people that need to know.
Air Handler Preventative Maintenance –
There will be intermittent ventilation in the building due to preventative maintenance being done on the air handlers – changing filters, etc. The exhaust fans for the fume hoods will be fully functional. After a particular air handler is shut down, the HVAC technicians will walk through the areas affected to make sure there are no air pressure problems in each room. The work will take place Monday, 3/26 – Friday, 3/30. The working hours will be 6:00am -2:30pm.
Chilled Water Pipe Shutdown –
The entire building’s chilled water piping system will be shut down. Numerous repairs need to take place to older chilled water pipes that are leaking. The impact to the occupants will be that there won’t be as good temperature control. The building should stay in the 68 degrees to 74 degrees temperature range. The X-ray machine will not be cooled and is recommended that it be shut down. The work will take place Monday, 3/26 – Friday, 3/30. The working hours will be 6:00am -2:30pm.
