Greetings,

Prof. Bongsik Shin from the Department of Management Information Systems
in the College of Business is organizing a site visit from the US Navy
on April 17 from 8:00AM to 11:15AM. This opportunity evolved from a
3-year cybersecurity project Prof. Shin is currently doing with the
Navy. Representatives from NSWC Port Hueneme, NSWC Corona, and
Washington HQ will discuss forming a strategic partnership with SDSU
faculty.

The Navy would like us to present ongoing or future research projects to
see if College of Engineering projects match the Navy's own projects and
interests. The plan is for faculty from the College of Engineering,
College of Science, and College of Business to present four projects
each, as a 5-minute talk.

During the visit, we will also discuss student recruitment, internship
opportunities, and student involvement in Navy research. Here is the
confirmed list of participating Navy personnel:

Kirk Jenne - NAVSEA Head Quarters NEEC Director
Doug Sugg - Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division NEEC Director
Mark Jue - Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division NEEC Director
Melissa Berry - NAVSEA Head Quarters Human Resources
Donnel Okamoto - Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division Human Resources
Elizabeth Awa - Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division Workforce Development Lead

If you are interested in attending this meeting to propose a project,
please RSVP to me.

Thanks so much,

Chris
