[Faculty] Update on 3rd Floor Odor

Hi Everyone,

I was informed there was the smell of gas in the 3rd floor hallway where
the ECE labs are located.  The smell was confirmed as coming from the flood
coat that the roof contractors are putting down today.  There was a loose
filter on one of the air intake vents that has since been fixed.

Environmental Health and Safety has been by and inspected the hallway and
we have opened up the windows and doors in all of the ECE labs to air out
the rooms.  The students who were working in the labs were asked to vacate
the rooms for a couple of hours until the odor dissipates.

The roofing superintendent is standing in the hallway to ensure that no one
enters the labs while the doors are open.
