[Faculty] Senior Director of Development for Engineering

To Engineering Faculty & Staff:

I am pleased to welcome Kim DuFour as our new Senior Director of
Development for Engineering and the Bay Area Region.

Kim possesses seventeen years of fundraising experience, including twelve
years in higher education, specifically in Engineering and Sciences at CSU
Chico. Prior to that, Kim worked in development for a healthcare
organization in Sacramento. She has worked in higher education for over
twenty years, most recently in Student Advising. In addition, Kim is a
former parent at SDSU and is already familiar with many of SDSU's
achievements and programs. As a result, she will be able to represent the
institution well with a variety of constituents, including alumni, parents,
faculty and staff. Kim's experience and skills will enhance and complement
the needs of the Engineering Development team and in the Bay Area Region,
where there is an abundance of prospects for Engineering and the EIS
Complex.

I am looking forward to an exciting 2016-17 academic year working together
with Kim.  In the coming weeks, Kim will be setting up meetings with
Department Chairs and Faculty to get to know the specific needs of each
Department and Faculty research areas.
