Dear Monte,

After looking at the College Newsletter, I am surprised to see that the 
no credit was given to the ECE faculty involved in the CSNE for the 
$501K grant from University of Washington (CSNE). As you may well know, 
the major load of the research at CSNE is on the shoulders of the ECE 
faculty but they have received no credit year after year. We have to 
write proposals, advise students, attend the meetings and site visits 
and spend time and energy working with our colleagues at UW.

While Sam's contribution is undeniable and we all appreciate his 
leadership, I think it is only fair that the contribution of the ECE 
faculty involved in CSNE is recognized in the College Newsletter.
