[Faculty] Resignation from University Reappointment, Tenure and Promotions Committee

Dear Colleagues,



It is with a heavy heart that I must resign from serving as our
representative from the College of Engineering to the University
Reappointment, Tenure and Promotions Committee that you elected me to
earlier this fall. Unfortunately, in contrast to previous years, the URTPC
faculty member from our college will *not* receive any assigned time for
this important review process and, when combined with my teaching load and
research responsibilities, I do not feel that I can do justice to this
service. I apologize for notifying you at this late stage, but was not
expecting this treatment.



Thank you for the honor of electing me, I am sorry I cannot fulfill your
wishes.
