Dear Arlene,

I am wondering if you could send the following announcement to faculty and students at college of engineering. Thanks.

Seminar: Thermal Fluids Research at DLR by Dr. Christian Willert, 2-3 pm, 4/8/2016 at Dean's Conference Room

It is well-known that Dr. Christian Willert's revolutionary paper "Digital Particle Image Velocimetry", co-authored with his Ph.D. advisor Dr. Mory Gharib (Experiments in Fluids, 1991, with 1774 citations so far), laid the foundation for the widespread application of the PIV technology worldwide in the past two decades. With a Ph.D. degree from UCSD, Dr. Willert is currently the head of Measurement Technology at the Institute of Propulsion Technology of DLR, German Aerospace Center. He will be visiting SDSU on Friday, April 8th, and will give a talk on the contemporary thermal fluids research at DLR from 2:00-3:00 pm at the Engineering Dean's Conference Room. Your attendance to the seminar are cordially invited. Students interested in thermal fluids research are also welcome to attend the seminar.

Best regards,

Xiaofeng
