*You're invited to meet the leaders of Save a Child's Heart, a remarkable
Israeli-based international humanitarian project that is providing free
pediatric life-saving surgeries and training in the developing world and
building bridges toward peace. Professor Schachner, co-founder of Save a
Child's Heart Foundation, and Dr. Sasson, Lead Surgeon and Head of the
Cardiothoracic Surgery, will present their social entrepreneurial vision and
innovative programs to heal the world and bridge cultural divides. Of the
more than 3,000 children who have received free surgeries, 49 percent are
Palestinian, and others are from Arab, African, and South American
countries. They provide life-saving cardiac surgery and other procedures for
children at the Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, Israel; offer a full
outreach training program for the medical personnel from other countries;
lead surgical and teaching missions to partner countries in the developing
world; and hold pre-operative and follow-up cardiology clinics in Israel and
abroad.
