Greetings,
The College has two open seats for the Senate but only one nomination has
been turned in, we have until this Wednesday, April 17, to submit other
nominations. See below:
Nominating Petition
COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING SENATOR
The College of Engineering must elect or re-elect two additional
representatives to the SDSU Senate.
The term of office will begin in May 2013 and end in May 2016.
Other tenured/tenure-track faculty who qualify per Policy File criteria are
eligible for nomination, including the
senator eligible for re-election listed below:
Asfaw Beyene
Kenneth Walsh
Elections are conducted according to the SDSU Policy File, which is located
on the Senate website. Questions,
please contact the Senate office at 594-5320.
NOTE: Lecturers and those without faculty, librarian, or counselor rank are
ineligible for this election. For
purposes of Senate elections, a member of the faculty refers to tenured or
tenure-track faculty and shall be
defined as one who has a full-time academic year appointment to the
University, whether or not full time is
devoted to teaching.
To nominate, send an email to senate at mail.sdsu.edu and include the
individual's name, department or school,
phone number and email address. Please obtain nominee's consent.
