[Faculty] Staff and Management Furlough Days

To College Faculty,

 

As follow-up to the meeting today, I am providing a list of dates that are
recommended furlough days for staff and management from Academic Affairs.
These are dates that AA will be closed; the Provost recommends that College
support operations close as well.   In principle, the College's staff and
management have agreed to follow this schedule.  Like the faculty, the staff
and management's furlough days are discretionary days and we cannot be
forced to take furlough on specific days.  However the staff have agreed to
make best efforts to schedule their furlough days on the days recommended by
Academic Affairs.  There will be individual exceptions.

 

Also, MEP will not be observing this schedule due to regular commitments on
Fridays. 

 

You should generally not expect to find your department office or the Dena's
office open or other College support services available on the dates that
follow.  Please plan your requests for assistance accordingly.

In addition, on the following non-instructional dates the entire university
will be closed to observe university-wide mandatory furlough dates.  While
this won't affect most AY faculty, I'm including this list FYI.   In
addition to regular Holiday dates the university will be closed on:

 

Mon. Dec. 21

Tues. Dec. 22

Wed. Dec. 23

Wed. Dec. 24

Mon. Jan. 4

Fri. Jan 15
